I’ve been spending a lot of time watching all the crazy animals that live here at OC Dumbos. And, I just noticed that a couple of them had a litter together. I spent some time investigating, and here’s what I learned…
That big one is named “Val.” What’s really weird is, she is a totally different color than most of her babies. Here, let me show you what I mean…
Even the fur looks different in that little one. At first, I couldn’t figure this out, but then I saw their father, “Robin.”
Right? These “rats” come in all different colors. Here’s Robin with his best buddy, “Gomer.”
Anyway, back to the babies. Not only do they come in different colors, but they have different fur, too. This black one looks like a little sheep.
But these guys’ fur is more smooth.
“Rat” babies are a lot smaller than their parents. Look at this one next to Val…
It’s about the size of Val’s tail! Also, I noticed that some of them have solid colors, some have white markings, and some don’t even have the same colors as their mom and dad. Look at this one on the right…
Interesting, right? And, by the way, did you notice their weird looking ears? They stick out to the side instead of on top. Not very practical…
…but I’m biased! It takes all kinds, I guess.
It sure does, Snoopy. I hope, someday, one of Robin and Val’s babies can report on Woody and your litter!
Val and Robin’s litter was born on June 7th. They will be ready to be adopted by people who already have reservations on or after July 12th, 2019. The moment we know what litter you will be assigned to, whether Val’s, or any other litter in the future, you will immediately be sent an invitation to come pick out your babies. If we haven’t sent you an invitation yet, it’s because we don’t yet know which litter will be yours. Litter assignments occur about one week before they are ready to take home. If you have a reservation, and don’t receive an invitation for Val’s litter, don’t worry, because Debbie, Dot, Dash, Muppet, Chica, Sissy, Spot and Lilo will also have babies available very soon!
Unfortunately, this litter is now fully reserved. However, it is still possible to reserve babies for future litters.
